I am a student of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County not very far from the American capital. I am currently chairing an organization on campus, representing the student body of Political Science majors at the faculty level and was, among other things, entrusted with the task of laying stepping stones for potential future events. Part of the event calendar are frequent guest lectures held on campus by professionals out of the public and private sectors.

With the US Presidential Election coming closer, I feel that the perfect on-campus event would be a forum in which the different campaigns could present their views and policies to our campus population. Within the pattern of a town hall meeting, students would be able to ask their questions and raise their concerns to representatives of the respective campaigns. Not only would this be a great opportunity for our students to learn more about the contenders, but also for you to mobilize some last-minute voters.

I am fully aware of the limited number of days before the election and the hard work your campaigns have engaged in. Nevertheless, the UMBC student body and I would be more than interested to host one last Q and A session before the election. We would be very happy, could one of your campaign representatives join us for this event on November 5th to talk to our students and win over some more potential voters.
