Jill Stein and Cheri Honkala are on the ballot the vast majority of states, making it easy for most of us. But, there are a few states that present a little confusion. Allow us to clarify:
STATES WITH OTHER NAMES LISTED AS JILL’S VP . . .
Wisconsin - On the Wisconsin ballot, Ben Manski is listed as the Green Party vice presidential candidate. This is because the state required us to submit a candidate prior to the party’s actual nomination. No worries - vote for Jill and Ben and your vote will still be counted and reported for the national ticket.
Illinois - On the Illinois ballot, Howie Hawkins is listed as the Green Party vice presidential candidate. This is because the state required us to submit a candidate prior to the party’s actual nomination. No worries - vote for Jill and Howie and your vote will still go to Jill and Cheri.
Both Wisconsin and Illinois - Don’t cast a write-in vote. This is important. In WI and IL write-ins for Cheri WILL NOT be reported or counted by the state. Make sure you vote for Jill Stein as she appears on the ballot, with Ben or Howie as her listed running mate.
WRITE-IN STATES . . .
Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Wyoming - Jill and Cheri are official write-in candidates, so simply write “Jill Stein” and “Cheri Honkala” in as your write-in votes. These votes will be counted and reported.

If you live in Nevada, North Carolina, Missouri, Montana, South Dakota, or Nebraska, we're sorry, we were unable to get enough petitions for ballot access and we are ineligible for write-in status.

If you're in a state where you can't currently vote for Jill and Cheri, please be sure to connect with your local Green Party to strengthen your community presence and to keep building our national efforts!
