Occupy the Debates! Join Occupy Denver, Jill Stein and Cheri Honkala as we march on the Commission on Presidential Debates.
The presidential debates are the first opportunity for millions of voters to see the presidential contenders themselves, not just their advertising campaigns. However, Jill Stein and other independent candidates have been unfairly excluded from these debates by the Commission on Presidential Debates - a supposedly "nonpartisan" corporation which is a puppet of the national Democratic and Republican parties, and the big corporations that fund both of them.
Join Jill Stein, Cheri Honkala and Occupy Denver to occupy the debates and demand real debates where our voices will be heard! Meet up for the march at 5:30pm at McWilliams Park, at E. Yale Ave and S. Steele St. Bring your signs and noisemakers!
We need your help to spread the word and make our Denver events as successful as possible. Click here to view an event poster, which you can download and post in your community.

I wish you all well. I’m 71 and would have had to come by public transportation, and walk a lot, and I’m not up to that right now.

If you need public transportation info., some buses will detour during the debates, but the light rail will continue uninterrupted. The University of Denver light rail station is a 13 minute walk from the campus, and a 23 minute walk from McWilliams Park.

The park is about 10 minutes walk to University of Denver where the debate is. The park is long, so it may be a bit longer walk

I can’t be there in person but I will be there in spirit! Do whatever it takes to pop the balloon of media blackout on this crucial issue of our presidential debates being controlled by a private corportion that itself is controlled by the two-party dictatorship!
